BASIC INFO

Brand: Casa Milo

Origin: Apulia, Italy

About: Don’t let these vibrant hues fool you, it is NOT flavored pasta–tho I wish it were. They are purely for aesthetic. Casa Milo, one of four other product lines that make up Gruppo Alimentare Mediterraneo Milo (GR.A.M.M.), make their pasta using local durum semolina flour, which has a higher protein content than pastas. They use powdered vegetables additives for color and nutrients. The pasta shape, strozzapretti (meaning “priest chokers”) is great for gripping sauce.
